The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has published its State of Care report, raising significant concerns for children and young people, warning that they are not receiving the timely care they need, with delays to essential treatments that could impact their long-term health and wellbeing.

Healthwatch England has responded to the report, with Deputy Chief Executive Chris McCann calling attention to troubling issues such as limited NHS dental access and long waits for ADHD assessments. These challenges risk affecting children’s wellbeing, education, and development.

Healthwatch England urges urgent changes to improve access and emphasises the need for long-term solutions.
